Mixed-ability Yoga
Monday 6pm class
This is our general mixed-ability yoga class, designed for anybody and every body. It’s held in the church hall so if you feel intimated by the very thought of a yoga studio then this is the class for you. As with all my classes we follow a pattern of starting with a few moments of grounding breath work before moving on to a warm up. We’ll then do more challenging yoga poses but there are always options to adapt to your level. There will be at least one balance pose as balances are great for the brain as well as the body. And we always end with Savasana, the final relaxation, which allows the body to absorb the practice and gives us some much needed rest. The class is very welcoming and friendly, and beginners are always very welcome.
Gentle Yoga
Wednesday 12pm class
This is a gentle yoga class suitable for seniors, or for those with limited mobility or recovering from injury. We incorporate the fundamentals of yoga and aim to build strength each week. The class follows the same pattern as the other classes, with some grounding breath work, a warm up with mobility exercises, moving onto slightly more challenging poses including a balance, always with options to adjust, and finally Savasana to rest and restore. The class is a small group so that your needs can be closely met, and it’s very supportive, welcoming and friendly, and a nice way to socialise too. If you have any questions about whether this is the right class for you please call, message or email using the contact details below.

Early Morning Yoga
Wednesday & Friday
6.15am class
If you like to start the day early then this is definitely the class for you! We start at 6.15am so that you’re done by 7.15am, ready to start your day whatever that holds, whether you’re heading off on the school run or a commute to work.
In the winter this is a warm cosy class at the Deep House, we start with a herbal tea and a little quiet meditation before coming to life with our warm up. We then take some more challenging poses including a balance, before moving into Savasana to rest and absorb the practice. We finish with some energising breaths to gear up for the day.
In the summer we follow the same pattern but try to take the class out to the park just across the road as often as we can, to practice with the early morning sun on our faces, maybe a breeze on the skin and the beautiful birdsong for our soundtrack.
Through all seasons, it’s the most wonderful way to start the day, calm, unhurried and grounded.
